We are Genus Ordinis Dei, a symphonic death metal band from Crema, Italy, established in 2012.
In 2015, after releasing our first album 'The Middle', we met Marco Coti Zelati (Lacuna Coil), and we tapped him to produce our next release, the EP 2016.
In the Summer of 2016, we returned to the studio to record our 2nd full-length album entitled 'Great Olden Dynasty', also featuring Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) in the song 'Salem'.
In Fall of 2016 we joined the "Delirium" World Tour supporting Lacuna Coil and Forever Still.
In the Summer of 2017, we signed a new, worldwide deal with U.S. label Eclipse Records. After that, until 2018, we've been on the road around Italy and Europe for some headline shows and as a support act for bands like Dark Tranquillity, Suffocation and Jinjer. In October 2018 we released our cover of the Manowar song "Hail And Kill" as a tribute.
In 2019 we supported Evergrey and Bloodred Hourglass in "The Atlantic" European Tour. Right after that we released another single 'Nemesis' featuring Meslissa VanFleet and, in june, we joined the Metalitalia Fest with Arch Enemy, Fleshgod Apocalypse and many more.
Now we are ready for the next epic opera: 'Glare Of Deliverance'.
